About

SPCH Coded is all about making storytelling fun and engaging while giving busy speech therapists a convenient, ready-to-use tool. Our Storytelling Mini Object Sets are designed to spark curiosity, support self-expression, and make language learning more hands-on for individuals of all ages. Every set is thoughtfully crafted to include diverse visuals, ensuring representation and inclusivity. SPCH Coded is not just about tools. It is about building a vibrant, supportive community of speech-language pathologists, educators, parents, and healthcare professionals. As we grow, we look forward to creating intentional spaces where this community can connect, share ideas, and uplift one another beyond the therapy room.

Hi, I’m Alexus a Queens native, Speech-Language Pathologist, and someone who’s always loved helping others. Growing up, I was the one supporting my sibling and neighborhood kids with homework, always finding fun ways to make learning click. That early spark led me to a career in speech therapy, where I now help children build confidence through communication.

I’m proud to serve the communities that raised me, and I’m passionate about making language both engaging and culturally relevant. Outside of work, I love dancing, watching TV and movies, spending time with friends, and leaning into my creative side.

Hi, I’m Genesia Watters, a proud first-generation immigrant raised in Belmopan, Belize. My love for storytelling has always been more than a creative outlet- it’s been a bridge to connect, empower, and understand others. That passion led me to the field of Speech-Language Pathology, where I’ve found purpose in helping people find and use their voices, no matter the form of communication.

While living in NYC, my second home, I met my creative collaborator Alexus during our undergrad years. Together, we launched this project to design playful, accessible tools for SLPs, parents, and educators. Our goal is simple: close the resource gap and spark joyful, inclusive communication. I bring my multifaceted identity, love for community-building, and cultural roots into everything I create because everyone deserves a story space that feels like home.
